Over the course of 23 years, I've had the privilege of occupying the director's seat, contributing my creativity to a variety of media projects. In the advertising realm, I've directed 173 TV commercials, aiming to convey meaningful brand messages through visual storytelling. Simultaneously, I've ventured into filmmaking with six feature and short films, exploring both fiction and non-fiction narratives.
The lens of documentaries has allowed me to capture authentic human experiences, directing 21 projects that delve into real-world stories. On the small screen, I've crafted engaging narratives through 18 TV dramas, and my involvement in 16 stage shows and musicals has brought a touch of live performance magic. This diverse journey reflects my commitment to storytelling across different mediums, and I look forward to continuing to explore and contribute to the ever-evolving world of media and entertainment.
I had the privilege of contributing to the staging and direction of a school play presented by Baa Thulhaadhoo School. This special performance took center stage during the Martyrs' Day ceremony, adding a meaningful and creative element to the event. It was a rewarding experience to be part of the production, combining educational efforts and artistic expression in a commemorative setting.
"Zoya," a project I directed and edited, was released in November 2023 under the Geveshigulhun campaign by the Ministry of Gender. It"Zoya" is a heartfelt narrative that beautifully captures the emotional rediscovery of roots, showcasing the profound impact of reconnecting with one's origins.
"Kalhuthakalaa," a musical honoring a national hero, showcased the talent of over 100 participants from MNDF. I wrote and directed the production, with Sgt. Moosa Manik handling choreography and WO Abdulla Ali managing the project. SM Abdulla Saeed penned the lyrics, complemented by music from the MNDF team of musicians. This collaborative performance, a celebration of a national hero, took place on Independence Day 2023, weaving together storytelling, choreography, and music.

This short film was created for the Ministry of Home Affairs in honor of World Non-Violence Day. It focuses on the rehabilitation of criminals and the acceptance of them by the community.

"Bilaaheh" is a thought-provoking concept for a short film, as it focuses on the struggles of living with schizophrenia, a persons ability to differentiate his imagination and reality is challenged.
Fithuna (40 min)
"Fithuna" focuses on the impact of extreme belief on a family and community. It explore the emotional and psychological effects of extreme beliefs and shows the division and conflict it can cause within a family and community.
Lahgandu (40 min)
"Lahgandu" is a powerful and thought-provoking concept fo a short film, focusing on the impact of drug edicts on children and the scars they leave behind. IT shows the devastating effects of drug addiction on families and communities.

"Magey Lobuvethi ge" or "My Beloved Home" is a music video created for the Ministry of Gender in Maldives as part of their campaign against domestic violence.

Independence Day 2001 project, under the direction of the exceptionally skilled Munko, I served as his assistant, particularly in video production.
Salaamathuge alikama
Independence Day 2008, this unique musical, invites the audience to be submerged underwater, where they will exclusively witness shadows, the performance intricately portrays the folklore of the Maldives' conversion to Islam.
Odi
Independence Day 2004, this musical unfolds with a dramatic shipwreck, narrating the resilient tale of how islanders fought tenaciously for their sovereignty.
Dhonbandarain
This docudrama is based on the historical events of DHonbandaarain, the King of Maldives. It was produced for the Ministry of Home Affairs, with support from the MNDF and the Ministry of Arts and Culture, to commemorate the Huravee Dhuvas.

"Maldives" is a documentary that explores the rich history and culture of the Maldives. Premiered on Maldives Independence Day 2021 at MNDF Team (NCTC / Saudi Arabia), the film offers a unique perspective on the country's past, present, and future. It highlights the Maldives' journey to independence and its evolution as a nation.
Corporal Hussain Adam
"Cpl. Hussain Adam" is a powerful and emotional short documentary that tells the story of a Maldivian soldier who made the ultimate sacrifice in service of his country. The film is based on the life and martyrdom of Cpl. Hussain Adam, who lost his life in the November 3rd terrorist attack in the Maldives in 1988.
Sea Ambulance
"E905 Sea Ambulance" is a documentary that highlights the dedication and hard work of the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) Coastguard Sea Ambulance team. The film focuses on the challenges and difficulties the team faces while providing emergency medical services during trying weather conditions.
